Grab a Cup

Flourishes is having a "Grab a Cup" challenge where you have a chance to win their whole November release! This is my card:

Elizabeth Whisson, Flourishes, Stitched for you, Winter Blossoms, Spellbinders, Blossom Spiral Three, Tags and Flags, copic, handmade card

and this is the 'Flourishes' inspiration:

This is the first card that I've tried out a new marbleised background technique that I learnt from Marie Gamber's Creative Backgrounds class over at Color Me Creative Classroom. Not sure if I got it "quite right" but I don't think it's too bad for a first attempt.

Copics: BV25, BG000, BG01, BG02, BG05, BG07, BG09, YR0000, YR00, YR12, YR20, YR21, E23, E25, E27, E29, E40, E42, E44, E49, E70, E71, E74, E77, E79, W00, W0, W1, W2, W3, W5, W7, W9, C1, C3, C5 and colourless blender (0).
Stamps:Flourishes "Stitched for You" and sentiment from Flourishes "Winter Blossoms"
Ink: Memento "Tuxedo Black", Memento "Rich Cocoa" and Distress Ink "Walnut Stain"
Cardstock and Papers: Bazzill 12"x12" textured cardstock (dark brown - not sure of the exact name), Creativ textured cardstock (light brown), X-Press It blending card, AnnaBelle Stamps patterned paper (from a mixed pack).
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities "Blossom Three" and Spellbinders Shapeabilities "Tags and Flags".
Other: American Crafts premium ribbon (light brown), dark brown ribbon (from my stash), Green Tara 38 mm burlap trim (sand), KaiserCraft pearls "Latte", Beutron Craft button, Tim Holtz idea-ology paper string (dark brown), X-Press It clear gel glue, Inkssentials Glossy accents, AtYou Spica #00 clear, Inkssentials cut-n-dry stamp pad foam, X-Press it high tack foam mounting tape and X-Press It double sided tape high tack.

Update - 17 November 2013:
Soooo excited that my card was one of three randomly chosen to win the Flourishes November release - 3 new sets! I can hardly wait to receive them! The three sets that Flourishes has released this November are: Grab a Cup; Friendship and Flowers; and So Distressed. So many ideas are running through my head already :-)
