One of my friends just had a little baby boy and named him Eli. Sadly I cannot go visit anytime soon as they live about 2 000 kms away but I was excited to make and send them a card.
The card base is Creativ textured cardstock and the paper from Creativ mini paper stack (baby boy) (with the edge inked in distress ink "chipped sapphire").
I coloured a cream Boutique double sided satin polyester ribbon with copic B41. (Note: It looks like you can see two different colours on the ribbon but the lighter colour is one layer of B41 and the darker colour I went over again with the B41.)
For the tag I took an Inkssentials #5 size manilla craft tag and pressed it onto my craft mat that I had previously rubbed distress stains "mustard seed", "broken china" and "chipped sapphire" onto. I then dried the tag using my heat gun. I stamped the word "baby" (from Heidi Swapp) in distress ink "tumbled glass" and the word "congratulations" (from Stamp-It) in distress ink "chipped sapphire" onto the tag.
The letters to spell "eli" I got from my stash (pretty sure they came from Kmart - so probably Creativ brand??).
Stuck this all down (with X-Press it double sided tape, Glossy Accents and X-Press It gel glue) and finished with some liquid pearls "ocean blue" and "baby blue" in the corners.
"The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever." Isaiah 40:8
What a sweet baby boy card! Love the die cut letters, and that tag is gorgeous! I especially like the little bit of yellow on it--brightens up the card just enough. :)
