ODBDSLC234 - Sketch

The challenge this week at Our Daily Bread Designs is a sketch challenge, ODBDSLC234. Here is my card:

Our Daily Bread Designs, Thank you, Dragonfly Mini, ODBD Layered Lacey Squares Dies, ODBD Clouds and Raindrops Dies, ODBD Mini Tags Dies, ODBD Shabby Rose Paper Collection, Designed by Elizabeth Whisson, Copics, picnic, apples

And this is the sketch:

I've stuck to the sketch fairly well except that I've replaced the scalloped circle in the top right with a cloud.

For my card I have stamped the image from Our Daily Bread Designs Thank You onto X-Press It blending card and coloured with Copic markers.

Copic markers used:
Basket: E70, E74, E77, E79
Rug: E42, E44, E49
Apples and greenery: YG01, YG05, YG17, YG25, YG45, YG67 plus W3 and 0 on ground
Sky: BG93 and BG90

I've diecut the image using ODBD Layered Lacey Squares and stenciled with Copic marker BG93 using the Copic airbrush system and then matted with the largest die from the same set

The DP I've used on my card is from ODBD Shabby Rose Collection. It was a little too bright for my card so I airbrushed the whole DP panels with BG90.

On the lower rectangle panel going across the page I stamped Our Daily Bread Designs Dragonfly Mini using Ranger Perfect Pearls Medium and then "coloured in" with Perfect Pearls Pewter powder. You then just lightly mist with water to set the powder.

I've added some clouds and hearts to my card. For these I blended BG90 and BG93 on a piece of X-Press It blending card and then diecut the clouds and hearts using ODBD Clouds and Raindrops dies. The clouds are popped up on foam tape for added dimension.

I've stamped the sentiment from the Our Daily Bread Designs Thank You set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then diecut it using ODBD Clouds and Raindrops dies and airbrushed with BG90 and BG93 while still in the die.

The larger heart near the thank you cloud is diecut using ODBD Mini Tags Dies. Most layers have been inked around the edges with Distress Ink Bundled Sage.

I hope you can see what I was getting at for this card. It's not that I like to go picnicking in the rain (although light showers I don't mind - I wouldn't want to be drenched!) I was more aiming for raining love (little hearts) and thank you. Think of it as showers of love :-) I've gone for more muted sort of tones for this card so maybe it's not a sunny picnic but a dry, cloudy/overcast one :-)
