ODBDSLC236 - Scripture challenge

Here is my card:
Elizabeth Whisson, God Verses, Lantern Single, Our Daily Bread Designs, Copics, YouTube video, you tube, flowers, Chalkboard Paper Collection, Fancy Foliage, Ornamental crosses dies, Footprints in the sand, white embossing powder, speed colouring, black and white

I've made my card by stamping the verse from Our Daily Bread Designs God Verses onto X-Press It blending card using Memento Tuxedo Black. I then just used a post-it note to mask off the edge of the words "the" and "led" and stamped Our Daily Bread Designs Lantern Single onto my page (I also used a stamp positioner to ensure I put the image in the right spot). I have cut my cardstock to size and then used Copic multiliners 0.3 mm and 0.1 mm to extend the image a little (fence and wire) out to the edge of the cardstock. The image is then coloured with Copic markers.

Copic marker colours used
Background: BV23, BV25, BV29 and BV0000
Lantern: Y11, Y17, Y36 and C1, C3, C5, C7, C9
Wood: E21, E55, E57, E29
Plants: YG93, YG95, YG99 and YR31, E55
Highlight: Y11 and Y04
Shadows: C7; W3, W5, W7

Please visit my brand new YouTube channel to see a
Copic speed colouring video of this image (includes marker numbers as I colour).

I've taken a white pre-cut Fun and Fancy Fold card - Our Daily Bread Designs Tri-Fold Card and inked around the edge of where each panel will go with Copic marker BV29. I've cut panels to size from ODBD Chalkboard Paper Collection. The two panels on either side of my coloured image are plain black; however, I stamped part of the image from Our Daily Bread Designs Footprints in the Sand using clear embossing ink and embossed with white EP.

Each panel has been inked around the edge with Distress Ink Black Soot.

I've then diecut some leaves using ODBD Fancy Foliage dies and some flowers using ODBD Ornamental Crosses dies. The other flowers are from my stash.

I love this image and I love colouring it in. It reminds me of how God shows us the way to walk the paths of our lives through His word.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path"
Psalm 119:105

When God led the Israelites out of Egypt he went "...before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night" (Exodus 13:21). And the Lord continued to lead Israel through the desert for 40 years (this is what the verse on my card is referring to (Deuteronomy 8:2)).

I encourage you to read (or continue to read) God's word and pray that you may allow (or continue to allow) Him to show you the path for your life. Let Him lead your steps.

Thanks for looking!
