Christ is Risen

Easter is the time where we remember Jesus' death on the cross. Where He did His Father's will, and took all of our sins upon Himself, and died as the perfect sacrifice, for our sins. But He did not stay dead! Jesus has conquered death and has risen! He now sits at the right hand of His Father in heaven.

If we give our lives to Jesus and believe in what He did for us on the cross and raising to life - we too will spend eternity with Him in heaven when we die.

This reminds me of an awesome hymn called "Christ the Lord is Risen Today". Our Daily Bread Designs released this hymn as a rubber stamp in their March release (Christ the Lord background). You can get the stamp with the flowers around it (like I've used on my card) or you can get the plain hymn

Elizabeth Whisson, Our Daily Bread Designs, ODBD, ODBDDT, Christ the Lord is Risen Today, hymn, Flourished Star Pattern dies, Distress Ink Aged Mahogany

I've stamped the Our Daily Bread Designs Christ the Lord background onto ODBD Shabby Rose Paper Collection using Distress Ink Aged Mahogany. I've diecut the background using ODBD Flourished Star Pattern die. I've then inked around the edges in the same ink.

I've inked the "Risen Today" from the title of the hymn on the background stamp and stamped it on a separate piece of ODBD Shabby Rose Paper Collection. I've diecut this using ODBD Mini Tags Dies. The little cross is also from ODBD Mini Tags Dies. Both are inked with the same Distress Ink. I've tied these on using some dark brown twine. My cardstock base is Bazzill cardstock.

I hope you're having a wonderful Easter remembering the
awesome things Jesus has done for us!

Thanks for looking!
