ODBDSLC217 - Holiday

I hope you all had fun with the last challenge - Scripture Inspiration. The challenge this fortnight at Our Daily Bread Designs, ODBDSLC217, is a Holiday challenge (Thanksgiving or Christmas). We don't really celebrate thanksgiving here in Australia so I've chosen to make a Christmas card.

Our Daily Bread Designs, Ornaments 2, Holly Wreath, Crocheted Border, ODBD Crocheted Border Die, ODBD Vintage Flourish Pattern Die, Christmas Paper Collection 2013, Center Step Card, Designed by Elizabeth Whisson

For my card base I've used a Center Step Card - which you can get from Our Daily Bread Designs already cut and scored! I've then added a layer of red Bazzill then matted a slightly smaller layer of ODBD Christmas 2013 Paper Collection on top of the Bazzill. This layer has also been inked around the edges with a Krylon gold leafing pen.

I've stamped Our Daily Bread Design's Crocheted Border onto some card from ODBD Christmas 2013 Paper Collection, diecut with ODBD Crocheted Border Die and then inked around the edges with the gold leafing pen before adhering to the right side of the middle panel.

For the vellum layer I've stamped one of the images from Our Daily Bread Designs Ornaments 2 stamp set in clear embossing ink onto vellum and sprinkled with Artee gold embossing powder. Once I had heated the embossing powder (carefully on the vellum) I have diecut with coordinating dies. Our Daily Bread Designs sells the stamp set and coordinating Spellbinders dies in a bundle, you can get them here. I've then inked around the edges of the diecut with a gold leafing pen before adhering to the card.

For the sentiment I have stamped one of the sentiments from Our Daily Bread Design's Holly Wreath set onto vellum with black ink and embossed using clear EP. I've diecut this with ODBD Vintage Flourish Pattern Die and adhered to my card.

Lastly I've added a gold organza bow.
