This fortnight Our Daily Bread Designs' challenge, ODBDSLC218, is a word recipe. Use 4 (or more) letters from the word BLESSINGS.
From the front of my card you can see that I've used....
B-Banner, L-Layers, S-Stamping, S-Sentiment, I-Ink, N-Nightscene and G-Gold
but if you include the rest of my card...
B - Banner (Joy to the World)
L - Layers, Love
E - Embossing (on inside on the O Little Town of Bethlehem stamp)
S - Stamping
S - Sentiment, Scripture (on inside)
I - Ink (copic ink - used a lot on the front cover!)
N - Nightscene
G - Gold (used a Krylon gold leafing pen around the edges of my layers)
S - Sheep (on inside)
Here are a few pictures of the inside of my card:
For my card front I've stamped the Wisemen image from the Our Daily Bread Designs' set We Three Kings onto X-Press It blending paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I've then coloured them using Copic markers. And added some white gel pen dots for stars.
Copic colours used:
Ground: N3, N5, E43, E44, E47, Y23, W3,
Sky: BV23, BV25, B95, B97, B99
Camels: E42 and E44
Rugs/rope etc.: E11, E15, E33
Wisemen: YR02, YR07; V22, V25, V28; R22, R27; Faces - E00
My card base is Bazzill and I've used ODBD Christian Faith Paper Collection for my DP and I've inked all the edges with a Krylon gold leafing pen.
For the banner (pennant) I've used the Joy to the World stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs' Christmas Pennant Swag. Before stamping I got the coordinating die (ODBD Pennant Swag Die), and lay it cutting side up on my table. I then took the clear stamp and placed it on the die (stamping side down) and lined up the stamp with the die. I then got my acrylic stamping block and pushed it down on top of the stamp and die to pick up the stamp. This will ensure that the stamp will line up with the die when you go to cut it, and works because the die is symmetrical. Alternatively you could diecut first and then line up the stamp with the diecut, but I found using the die was easier. Once I stamped the Christmas Pennant Swag I diecut it with the ODBD Pennant Swag Die and adhered to my card using foam tape.
On the inside left panel of my card I've stamped the word Love from Our Daily Bread Designs Bookmarks - Faith, Hope and Love stamp set. And then stamped Our Daily Bread Designs' O Little Town of Bethlehem background in black ink and clear embossed.
For the sheep and babe panel I have stamped Our Daily Bread Designs' The Babe, masked and then stamped the sheep from Our Daily Bread Designs The Shepherd overlapping the babe slightly. I've coloured both of these with Copic markers.
Copic colours used:
Manger: E42, E44, E47 and E49
Blanket: E70, E71 and E74
Babe face: E00, E11
Halo: Y00
Sheep: W1, W3, Y21, Y23 and colourless blender
Grass/straw: YG91, YG93, YG97, Y23, YR31
Shadow: W5
The verse that is stamped in the top left corner is from ODBD The Babe.
For the last panel, inside right, I've stamped Our Daily Bread Designs' It is Well with My Soul Hymn and the word Faith from Our Daily Bread Designs' Bookmarks - Faith, Hope and Love.

I hope you can see that I tried to tell a story with my card. On the front I have the wisemen on their way to see the Saviour. Opening up the card you see baby Jesus in the manger and on the left you have O Little Town of Bethlehem (Bethlehem being where He was born). The word "Love" is to represent the enormous amount of love that God has for us "that He sent His one and only Son" (John 3:16) to earth to die on the cross for our sins. And then when you open the card right up you see the hymn It is Well with My Soul (my favourite hymn!) and the word Faith. For those of us who have faith in the Lord Jesus, and believe that He did indeed die for our sins and was raised to life - we know that we will have eternal life with Him in heaven and It is Well with Our Souls!
I love the last verse of the hymn:
And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight;
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul!
My favourite singer of this hymn is Steve Grace but you can also listen to many different versions (by others) of the hymn on you tube.
I am entering my card in the following challenges:

When I look at this picture I think of Christmas - and Christmas reminds me of the birth of Jesus.
