ODBDSLC212 - Sketch (Week 1)

It's time for a new challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs. Come and join us this fortnight in ODBDSLC212 for another sketch challenge! This is my card:

And this is the sketch:

I've gone for something a little different on my card this week and combined Our Daily Bread Designs Walk with Jesus stamp set with Christmas Paper (ODBD Christmas Paper Collection 2013)! I hope you can see what I am getting at :-) Christmas (I know its still a few months away - but it's never too early to start making cards right?!) is the time of year that we remember Jesus' birth. In my card I wanted to portray that even though Jesus came to earth to ultimately die on the cross for our sins, and then rise from the dead! He also set an example while He was here on earth for how we should live. I wanted to show that while we do celebrate and remember Jesus' birth, death and resurrection, we also should follow in His footsteps and follow the example(s) that He set for us! So this is why I've combined Christmas Paper with the Flip Flop stamps and dies!

I've used ODBD Walk with Jesus and Crotcheted Border stamp sets on my card along with ODBD Flip Flop Dies and ODBD Crocheted Border die. And, as I mentioned above, I used ODBD Christmas Paper Collection 2013. I thought it would be cute to use the small ODBD Flip Flop dies instead of the tags that are in the sketch :-)

  1. You are too clever to use those flip flops instead of pennants! What a fun take on the card - and your use of the papers is out of the box too! Your card is just oozing creativity!

  2. Oh, Elizabeth, this is beautiful, and I love the papers you've used and why you used them!! Yes, while Jesus came and accomplished what we could never do, we are called to continue to walk in His steps and follow Him and live a life for Jesus! I just love the little flip-flops and beautiful way you've arranged this gorgeous Christmas paper! I love it!! Hugs, sweet friend!
