ODBDSLC238 - Sketch challenge

Here is my card:
Our Daily Bread Designs, Spread Your Wings, Butterfly and Bugs, Birds and Nest, Layered Lacey Squares, Pennants, Shabby Rose Paper Collection, Designed by Elizabeth Whisson, Copics

And here is the sketch:

I've pretty much stuck with the sketch except that I've added flowers instead of the bow and reduced the dots to three instead of six.

I've used the stamp set Spread Your Wings from Our Daily Bread Designs and coloured the nest and bird using Copic markers. I've coloured my bird the colours of the female Blue Wren which can be found in the south-west of Western Australia (where I live) and throughout parts of eastern Australia too. The Blue Wren actually has quite a long tail (but we won't worry about that :-) ) The male is a brilliant blue but I wanted to colour the female for this image. She is usually a brown/grey colour with a blue tail and has this gorgeous orange/brown beak and the colour extends around her eye. They are such delicate and gorgeous little birds. They have pinkish/reddish eggs with brown spots (I've never seen the eggs but this is what a bird website told me). The bird is diecut using ODBD Birds and Nest dies. I've layered the nest and bird using ODBD Layered Lacey Squares Dies.

The papers/cardstock that I've used on my card include Bazzill, X-Press It blending card and ODBD Shabby Rose Paper Collection.

To make the flowers I've used ODBD Birds and Nest dies. I gave them some dimension using a stylus and foam mat. I then punched a hole in the middle of the flowers and added some pink stamens, gluing them at the back of the flowers. The leaves are diecut using this same set.

The cute little butterflies are stamped using Our Daily Bread Designs Butterfly and Bugs set and diecut using ODBD Butterfly and Bugs dies.

The sentiment is from the same Spread Your Wings stamp set and I've framed it using ODBD Layered Lacey Squares dies. Most layers have been inked with Distress Ink Walnut Stain.

For the layer behind the sentiment I used ODBD Pennant Dies. I first cut a strip of paper the same width as the diecut, then inserted it in the die - going over the top of the straight edge end (so it won't cut my paper) and then under the "notch" end of the die. This extends the length of the diecut and will give you a notch in one end.
