Happy Birthday

We had a big day a few days ago. Our darling littlest girl (she's 3 and a half) woke us up at 2:45 am to ask for a drink of water...which was fine, except her drink bottle was next to her bed! But then my husband and I couldn't get back to sleep. I think it was all the excitement of the Enduro race (motorbiking) my husband would be racing later that day. We ended up leaving the house at 5 am and traveling the nearly 3 hour journey with our two little girls to a farm where the race would be.

All went well for the practice lap but as soon as the racing started the rain started coming down (although there were periods of sunshine). It made for some interesting riding and the event ended up getting called off a little early as it was getting a little too dangerous.

Here's a couple of photos I took of my husband:

After leaving the Enduro we headed another 3 hours northwestish to the capital of Western Australia, Perth, where we visited "Great Grandma" briefly (and to shower) before heading out to a birthday party of a friend from one of the previous churches we used to go to.

Here is the card that I made for her:
Elizabeth Whisson, handmade card, Tiddly Inks, Celebrate, AnnaBelle Stamps, Squared Posies, ODBD Pennants Dies, Live and Love Crafts, Bo Bunny, Bazzill, Copics, X-Press It blending card, Copic airbrush, ABS-1N, flowers

The image is digi stamp "Celebrate Joyfully - Emma" from Tiddly Inks. I have printed it onto X-Press It blending card and coloured with Copic markers. The card base is Bazzill textured and I've used Bo Bunny "Family" and "Autumn Song" designer paper. I've also got my sewing machine out and gone around the edges of two of the panels and zigzagged across one of the strips (a little hard to see in the photo).

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from AnnaBelle Stamps "Squared Posies" and I've cut it out with Our Daily Bread Designs Pennants Dies. All of the flowers / embellishments came from Live and Love Crafts. I've used my Copic markers with my new airbrush system to colour the main blue-green flowers (they were previously white). And I've added some Inkssentials Glossy Accents to the flower centres on the main image.

Here are two more photos:

Copic Markers Used:
E21, E23, BG32, E02, E00, R20, E04, E11, E29, YR02, YG23, RV55, N5, YR04, BG45, BG49, BG34, E25, Y11, RV63 and RV66.

We got home very, very, very late that night (pretty much very, very ,very early the next day) but both of the girls did really well and we had a great day motorbiking and catching up with friends we haven't seen in quite a while!

Thanks for looking!
