Wow - it's October already! Where has the year gone??! Our Daily Bread Designs has some gorgeous stamps and dies that have been released in October - you can check them out here. And check out some of the gorgeous cards made by the design team using the October release here.
But before September disappears too far into the past I want to share with you another card I made using Our Daily Bread Design's September release.
This is a CAS (clean and simple) card made using X-Press It blending card. I stamped the images from Our Daily Bread Designs Hand Knit stamp set onto X-Press It blending card using Memento Tuxedo Black and diecut using ODBD Knitting Basket and Yarn Dies. I then coloured them both with Copic markers.
Copic markers used:
Basket: E33, E35, E37, E39
Yarn (orange): YR02, YR04, YR09
Yarn (yellow): YR21, YR24, Y38
Knitting needles: T2, T4, T6 (but you could use any of the gray's)
The verse comes with the Our Daily Bread Designs Hand Knit set and I have stamped it in the top right corner using Memento Tuxedo Black on a separate piece of X-Press It blending card.
I've added some floss (Sew Easy fancy floss - coral reef) around this piece of card and then adhered it to my card base. The button is a Beutron craft button (from Big W) and I've added some more floss to the button and used the floss to tie the button to the floss that is wrapped around the card.
My basket is popped up on foam tape and then I've used two lots (double height) of foam tape to add my ball of yarn with needles.
Lastly I added a few AnnaBelle Stamps 3 mm sprinkles (pumpkin) to the top left. (Very sad that AnnaBelle stamps is now closed - I made sure I bought a few last things before they closed for good.)
Colossians 2:2-3 says:
"My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." (NIV)
Are we being encouraging to others, to start or continue their walk with Christ? Are we making an effort to be "knit together with strong ties of love" with one or more of our fellow Christians? As we do these things not only our understanding of Christ will deepen, but the understanding of Christ of those we are fellowshipping with will also deepen. May I encourage you to reach out to someone this week, or today!
Thanks for looking!
omgoodness - your colouring on this image is spectacular! I'm in total awe! I want to pull the wool off your card and start an afghan with it! Thanks for sharing!
